signing the license...

So I have both a matron and a maid of honor... which signs as one of the witnesses? Or can there be more than two?

It depends on your state but i think usually it's just 2 witnesses, so unless you don't want the best man to sign, you should just pick one, or have family members sign.

  • In our state it was whoever we wanted over the age of 18. We had my cousin and DH's sister. Neither of them were in the WP.
  • Check with your state... Nobody signs in my state other than the minister.
  • I had two MOHs too.  My sister signed the license, but prior to that my other MOH met my H and I at the clerk's office to serve as our witness.  So in a way, I had both sign.  Maybe something like that could work for you, if you are having a tough time choosing.
  • In my state, it's two people. If I had 2 MsOH, I would probably ask my mom to sign or something.
