Plus One Etiquette

What's the etiquette with plus ones?  I have a lot of single friends, and would love to offer them the option to bring someone, but that puts me over my guest limit.  Is it okay to just not give them the option?

    You aren't obligated to invite your single guests with a gust of their own- only people in a relationship. That said, you of course could. Just make sure that if you do offer them, you offer them to all single guests.

    You could just do plus ones in groups. People that will have to travel, people that won't know anyone, are good places to start.
