Restaurant Help?

We're taking my grandmother to see a show at City Theatre this Sunday - show starts at 2:00 and we'd like to go somewhere for lunch beforehand.

Any suggestions?  We'd like to only have to park once (especially since their are still piles of snow taking up street parking) so it needs to be as close as possible to the theatre, and open for lunch on Sunday.

City Theatre is in Southside right? What street is it closest to? That will help :-P

Yep - it's on 13th Street and back about a block or two off Carson.

I love Pipers Pub, but I think it is closer to 16th or so. How far are you willing to walk?

I also recommend Bruschetta's! Really good! Here's a few other places on the City Theatre's website :-)

Have fun! What are you going to see?

Thanks!  I think Bruschettas is closed Sundays.  Pipers only serves brunch apparently on Sundays, but it may be the only option that fits these requirements.

I'd say probably not more than 3 blocks at most for G-ma.

We're going to see Late Night Catechism.

Oh boo, half the restaurants on that list are closed or don't open til 4 on Sundays.

Looks like Folinos is your only option there. I am trying to think of what else is close. What about Nakama?

I don't know Southside well enough :-( Unless you ate at Southside Works, parked in the garage and parked again at the theatre, but I know that is not ideal.

    I will keep thinking!

I have had the brunch at Piper's - its delicious! :-)

What about Fatheads? Not the best atmosphere for Gram, but could be fun. There are lots of cute little restaurants in South Sid eand I cannot think of any of them!

Yeah - we may just end up parking twice, or changing plans to do an early dinner after the show.  Nakama I think opens too late.  She does have some dietary restrictions so I think Fat Head's wouldn't work well for her.

She has diabetes plus some heart issues so she has to really watch her carb and sugar intake.
