Evening ladies!
Well, we're officially back from our honeymoon (which was FANTASTIC, despite DH getting the flu half-way through).
The wedding itself was amazing, and I almost hate to say it, but things went almost flawlessly (or if there were flaws, someone else dealt with it and we didn't know a thing about it).
As soon as I get a free minute this week, and get the rest of the pics from the photog, I'll throw them up on photobucket if anyone wants to see.
I've got a ton of reviews - almost all good, but I'm only going to throw the two best of the best up here. If someone wants to PM the email of whoever is taking care of the Google page, I'll email the more detailed one.
3 Lakes Golf Course (formerly Alcoma Golf Club) in Penn Hills - this was our reception site and I couldn't sing higher praises of Sue and Allison, the on-site day-of coordinators. They coordinated with all of our vendors for the 2 weeks prior so we didn't have to do a thing. They only contacted us when there was something they weren't really sure of (which I think was once), and if there were any problems they dealt with them. The venue is gorgeous, and the fact that they gave us and the BP golf carts to go take pictures on the course was a huge hit.
Stratwood Catering out of White Oak - I have never been to a wedding where so many people raved about the food. Everything was fabulous - and they even kept a few extras warm for me so I could eat when I got a chance through-out the night (corsetted dresses are not a good idea when you're as hungry as I was). With DH being a classically-trained chef, food was big for us, so we blew almost half of our very modest budget on these guys and were absolutely thrilled with the end result.
All in all it was a fabulous day. The weather was GORGEOUS, and things couldn't have been more perfect.
Thanks to all of you for all of the advice over the past two years of planning this.
Good luck everyone!!!
