Color help

Hi ladies,
I feel stuck with some details of my wedding, and I feel like part of it has to do with the fact that I can't really decide on accent colors. Help! My main color is going to be an eggplant/plum. We are getting married in late Sept, so my pre-engagement hopes for a brighter purple/light green combo. won't work as well (and I think you have to have a better eye for color than I do in order to pull that off)

I was thinking gold/bronze, but I don't know how that could be incorporated very well. Today I was thinking dark red/dark pink flowers. Any thoughts?? TIA!!!

I think a darker pink would be lovely with a plum color.  My cousin had these as her colors.  Then you could use gold accents with the plum and dark pink.  You wouldn't have to incorporate the gold into the flowers, but you could use it in the invites, centerpieces, etc.

    HTH!

Thank you :) That sounds good.  I think I was responding to your post while you were responding to mine!!

I like the plum/light green; I don't see why that wouldn't work even in September.

To keep yourself sane, you should pick at least one neutral. That way, when you need table numbers three weeks before your wedding, you won't be looking for plum or bright pink cardstock or ribbon. You can just get white, cream, gold, whatever neutral it is that you decided on.

It is really hard to find the right shade of your color for all the things you need it for. (I used that Steeler gold color and that was hard to find). I also used black and white, and those were my saving grace when I couldn't find something in my chosen color. I just got black linens, for example.

I really like silver with pretty much any shade of purple, though I am biased since I had a lilac and silver wedding. I also think plum and light green would still work. You have lots of options, just depends on your preference!

I'm using plum as my primary color too!  I'm using copper as a metallic accent and dark brown as my neutral. My girls are wearing plum dresses with copper jewelry and shoes. The copper is also being used in litle spirals in the bouquets and in the vases of the center pieces. I'm basically using the brown to help tame things. My invites are on a brown pocketfold, I plan on using brown tableclothes etc. I like how the three colors create this warm, cozy and elegant feeling.
