Calling all PA Brides w/outdoor weddings

I'm having my ceremony AND reception outside on the big day! August 2012! I'm being really frantic about setting on an all outdoor event because of the weather and all of the things that come with it. I was hoping any of you brides or even soon-to-be brides would share your experiences/thoughts on your outdoor event! (For a little re-assurance that my day will be awesome!) ...and to stop worrying of course!

Things like...
Renting a tent? With Sides or No Sides? Expensive??
What Month!!? Did the weather cooperate?
Freaking out about the weather?? (I am!)
Plan B for not so nice Mother Nature??
What time of the day for the Ceremony??
Details! (favors/ personalized details)
Attire!! I really don't want to make my suited up groomsmen have a heat stroke!

Any replies will surely help ME but also help other future outdoor brides! So thanks in advance!!

okay.. not an outdoor bride but my girlfriend got married outside in July and she make a point to put buckets of ice with bottled water in them on the outside of the chair aisle (not in the aisle she was going to walk down). i'm not describing it right because i'm sure it sounds tacky and sort of hillbilly-ish. it wasn't just ice buckets like you'd see at a cookout. they were nice and decorative. but anyhow.. i thought it was a very nice gesture since the weather can be rather hot. she wanted to make sure everyone stayed hydrated.

I thought about having an outdoor wedding/reception cause were getting married in Sept. 2012, but i opted to a outdoor ceremony underneath a pavilion. Then an indoor reception, the hall is big enough where if it rains we can move the ceremony inside. I was going to rent tents for my outdoor reception. We looked into tents with sides, since a friend did it. if you can guarantee good weather go for it, just remember the music for the dj and how that will work. I was afraid with rain and possible down pour of rain tents can be a downfall cause the rain may come in side ways and it can ruin everything. just do what you want and just keep in mind about the rain.
