Update: MIL's Surgery

I figured an update would be lost in the good morning post, so sorry for starting a new one. I just got a call from H that MIL's surgery is done. Everything went according to plan, and FIL can see her in about 10 mins.

She had surgery on her spine, up by her neck, so she'll be immobilized for about 6 weeks... remember my vent about making her food??? I'm sure it will be a long 6 weeks for her, so I'm just hoping for a lot of patience on her and FILs part.

She has a whole freezer full of food:

beef empanadas
spinach pie
turkey stuffed peppers
vegetable chowder
salmon
tamales (trader joes)

Also oatmeal cookies (I think they already ate them all though) and pasta salad, and store bought instant pudding.

Maybe... but I don't think the 3 hour ride is worth it.
