I keed, I keed. Miss Lucy has been an annoying brat all weekend for some reason, and has woken me up at obscene times and then has wanted to play. It's frustrating.

I have been watching women's gymnastics this morning. The US will start in a couple of hours.

I'm awake! Just having some coffee. Probably going to go out to the pool fairly soon, it looks really nice outside today. We've got massages later and then I want to check out the new little diner inside Whole Foods.

Ugh. My mother decided to have a fight with me first thing this morning because she suddenly decided to come and visit us while we are in VA. A week before we go. I told her we don't have time for a visit anymore, and she doesn't have money for it. She's been unemployed for 4 months and her H has been unemployed for over a year. Then she got all pissy and 'hurt'. Now I'm beyond annoyed.

Sorry about your Mom, Snippy. I've always lived in a different state than the rest of my family and when I would go back home the entire world would want to see us and make plans at the eleventh hour. Sorry, we are just out of time....

We are hanging new curtains today, I am making pickles (fresh pack, no time for canning) for the first time, and cleaning the basement. This is seriously cramping my Olympics time. I want to watch Jordyn Weiber. She is from Dewitt. My favorite Mex restaurant is in Dewitt so I told DH I will scan the place to see if she is there from now on. Yep, you can just stamp Super Dork on my forehead.

Yeah, cause Phelps was never a douche? Those guys are all testosterone and arrogance, so it's doubtful that any of them are truly just 'nice'.

Thanks KM. She's just so... ugh. She pisses me off beyond reason. She actually told me that the reason she was planning late was my fault. Really? REALLY?! You've known for 6 months where we would be and when. Your first response was "Why aren't you coming to Georgia?"

She sounds frustrating. If my kid lived overseas and I knew she was coming home 6 months ago, we would have had our plans to visit made 5 1/2 months ago and I would travel to her. I gotta go clean the stupid basement and hope I don't miss Jordyn Weiber now. Have a great day ladies.

I just had the "pleasure" of cleaing up dog hurl. What a way to start the day.

OTOH, I didn't want to hurl myself like I usually do when it comes to vomit, so that's good. I don't think that my future patients would be too confident in my nursing abilities if I were hurling along side them.

Morning everyone. I woke up with an awful headache and FI just left to drive home to MA. Oh and he left me a pile of cat puke to clean up. Lovely. I have so many chores to do today that this headache really needs to go away. I also have tutoring today, and it's the last session for awhile. There's no way I can drive all the way to Maryland if this headache sticks. I couldn't stay up to watch everything last night. I DVRed the rest so I can see the women swim. Oh and phelps, as much as I had the most giant crush on him in 2004, was kind of a douche to Andrea Kremer.

Morning. The dog let me sleep in until about 8 this morning. Probably cause she was playing with her squeaker toy and eating toilet paper at midnight. I had to get out of bed and put the toy in the box and close the bathroom door. Silly doggy. I think she was mad that H was only home for about 12 hours yesterday.

I'm up for a day of Olympics watching. At some point I will go walk on the treadmill for 30-40 minutes or so. I also need to plan my menu for the week. I have a friend coming to visit Wednesday - Saturday. I'm excited to see her

Good morning al!

I'm a heathen and skipping church today because I had a really long day yesterday. First I went with my BFF car shopping, and then we came to my apartment, packed some things and took them to the new house so she could see the place.

Then I was having a lot of contractions, which was a little scary, but I was 99% sure they were just Braxton Hicks, so I drank LOTS of water and they eventually stopped, but JIC, she stayed the night with me since H isn't here.

Today should be exciting. We're doing a few house-related errands, and then we're meeting one of my guy-BFFs and his GF in Houston and he's proposing.

It should be a fun day!

Snippy, sorry that your mom is being that way. I hate when stuff like that happens.

Re: Olympics - Phelps did look like a whiny-baby when he was being interviewed about his loss. It made me chuckle.

Morning! I have a busy day of cleaning, laundry, and addressing Save the Dates ahead of me. FI still hasn't gotten me his friends' addresses, so I got the addresses from the friends I know well enough and that's that. If he doesn't feel like getting them for me, his friends won't get STDs.

I definitely want to watch women's gymnastics later, it's the one part of the Olympics I really enjoy.

I don't want spoilers because one of my favorite feelings while watching the olympics is the thrill of a close race or something and not knowing who is gonna actually get the gold, etc. Thats the best part for me.

I am DVRing BB so I'll probably watch Olympics! I'm pissed at BB this season.

I don' tthink Lochte is a douche. I have a friend who has interacted with him quite a bit during NCAA championship meets and says that he's got a great sense of humor--I think he's sort of like (this is an unpop op, I know) Aaron Rodgers in that he has a sense of humor that makes him SOUND like he's a self-absorbed douche but that's not really what he's about at all.

I can totally see what you are saying, J. (My) J loves Aaron Rodgers so he watches lots of random videos of him all the time. He does seem just like a confident dude but also very humble when other players might not be. He takes a lot of personal responsibility.

I'm mad at it because I think the coaches thing was a total planned failure because the producers know how the show works well enough to know that it wouldn't work the way they said it would. So they did it with the purpose of wanting the coaches to go into the game. And I think thats stupid because they did vets last season and I am so sick of the twists like this. I miss just good ol' BB with no people coming back, etc. Its more organic and focuses on the players more than the twists or the returning vets, etc.

I acknowledged long ago that the producers help choose who wins, but this is just stupid.

Why are you people still sleeping?
