Morning! I am waiting for 11am for the salon to open so I can call and make an appointment. Once I know when my appointment is I can plan my week. I need new shoes and I have to pick up a birthday gift for our friends' son.

Morning! I've got tests to grade, but I don't wanna, wah. They are half done, so I'll finish them up during lunch. I'm loving this weather we are having - low 80's in the afternoon, low 60's at night. Definitely not normal GA August weather.

Morning all, I am getting ready for a day of back to back, balls to the wall meetings. I have a feeling that the Director of Finance is not going to have the information I requested 3 weeks ago, when I walk into one of my meetings today. That is going to make me angry, to put it mildly.

Morning!

FI just left for work and I'm snuggling in bed with the pups till I have to leave - I love living a 15 minute bike ride from work.

I decided I REALLY need to start on losing weight, I keep putting it off. I did the 30 DS before but I cant find it anymore, I might have to buy a new one. FI said he would do it would be so I dont just give up lol.

Cfas, you missed the latest defection for Proboards. If it seems really dead here and on SB, that's why. Hockey, if I had those, I think I would get few irate phone calls from mommies. Just found out that a fellow teacher had high praise for me (which is HIGHLY unusual, coming from this woman). Basically she said that out of her crop of Precalculus students this year, she can tell which ones had me last year for Advanced Algebra, because they are the ones with the discipline and focus on learning. Being a bitsh pays off, woot!

Good morning! I was up late baking treats for H to take to work tomorrow for his LAST DAY. I'm making macarons with a strawberry buttercream filling and my specialty, "World Peace Cookies." I still have to finish everything tonight. I love baking but I hate cleaning up afterwards.

Welcome back, Cfas! I'm glad you had a good time.

I'm really tired today. We've been doing a lot of wedding errand running around, and it's wearing me out. I'm ready for it to be over. We're meeting with the ceremony musician tonight and she'll help us finalize the ceremony. She's a good friend of the family, she actually taught me both in school and piano lessons when I was little, so we've known her forever. Our priest is not super helpful in getting stuff organized, so we're turning to her.

Morning guys!

I have been posting more on proboards. I like that the most recent thread pops to the top of the list. I also like that that's where everyone is and it's not a bunch of newby stupid brides who have no common sense. I post here still though too. Sometimes, the stupidity is amusing. Plus, I miss the people who haven't migrated at all.

Morning everyone. I am absolutely freezing today. So much for my "temperature controlled" office, because it is NOT 85 in here.

The cat is finally eating again after a self-imposed day and a half fast. I also learned last night that not only did my grandmother show my entire family a photo of me in what was the top choice wedding dress, but she also ruined the surprise for my sister that I am flying home next week to move her into her new college.

And I need some caffeine. Its a Coke morning.

Morning! Cfas, I can't wait to hear about your trip!!

I'm dragging a bit this morning. Had wine with dinner last night and was up in the middle of the night because of it. Ended up sleeping on the couch, which really means *not* sleeping. Aaaand, it's still slow season at work, so figuring out ways to fill my day has become a new challenge. I hate this time of year.

I really can't decide about proboards. I've been lurking, and have posted a couple times, but I wasn't really even a reg here, so going there where everything is combined, I feel like a total newb. And I just don't have it in me to post constantly to the point that I'm no longer a newb. And so here I remain. But man is it lonely sometimes.

Stacks, a knife? That is freaky. Especially on a bike path. I like to imagine I am in a bubble of safety when I'm on our bike paths here.

Meegles, I feel the same about proboards. I'm practically a lurker/newb here. I'm really invisible on PB.

And, a major AW, I went to the doctor the other day and weighed in at 164.2! I've been fighting the 170/175 barrier for over 8 months. I went to a personal trainer and I still didn't see the scale move, so I ignored it for a while. Well, my new routine has been working!

Bike paths in general creep me out. Perhaps I watched too much Law and Order growing up, but most bike paths are secluded and run through the woods. Ideally, it would be my favorite place, realistically I am scared I would be killed/raped/mugged/generally attacked.

Yea, this bike path goes all the way downtown and when I change freeways about 2 miles away from here it stops you at a light, right connected with this same bike path and there are always panhandlers. So the path does just scare me b/c I know people live in the woods in the area. I got to work really early one morning and decided to run before work. I made it like a half mile in and saw purple underwear on the ground. I turned around and ran out much faster than I came in. Never again will I run on that or walk on it alone. Especially not after the knife. I'll just assume the knife was dropped by a fisherman in the area to ease my mind, but I'm on high alert now.

Cfas, it was because Knot Lili decided to ban all swears. Then all swears with multiple letters in them. Then any word beginning with "s" and ending in "t" (like shirt). It got ridiculous, and so people moved.

I have a feeling many won't be coming back. Which is really unfortunate. But Stacks is right, the boards will pick up again. I'll miss the regs, though.

My sister's birthday is today and I am just not in the mood. She's bitching up and down on FB about how she's going to be alone all day (as in, until 3:30 when my mom gets out of work) and that nobody wants to do anything with her. She acts like her birthday is this massive national holiday every year, it drives me batshit.

Cfas, basically KL made every single curse word impossible to use. Like even if you put like more than one i in a word it was banned. Also, any words that started with sh and ended in a t. Like even shots was banned. <--- it may have since been fixed I'll see if it posts. People just got really annoyed at the BSC level of censorship so they left.

Natrasha, she's totally clueless. The funny thing is she is guarding the details of my aunt's wedding dress like she is guarding freakin Fort Knox, but when I specifically ask her to not share that I am coming home she runs her mouth to everyone. And while I want to ask her why she blabbed about it, I guarantee she "didnt remember" not to tell my sister and it will be a waste of my time to argue it.

Meegles, she totally is a PITA. The only reason she even knew that I was coming home is because my mom cant get me from the airport and I needed my gram to come get me. Even that is a problem, because God forbid she just park the car and come inside when I offer to pay for the parking. She instead would prefer that I "walk to that main drag" and she will look for me on the side of the road and pick me up there. And no, she has absolutely no idea that she ruined it.

And Nat, awesome work with your weight loss! I have been stuck at 161-163 since I was sick in the spring and I really need to kick it into gear to get to where I want to be.

Let's be real guys; the drama started with Edie getting a little overzealous with the ban button and Lucy going BSC. Then Lucy decided to start banning a bunch of people on chit chat because of drama that had happened on SB. Then KL started cracking down on the swears, claiming other users had been reporting how terrible we all were for awhile, and that they were just enforcing the TOS. Which is true as far as swearing being a no-no on the TOS. But still...it was excessive, as Bay and Stacks explained with the whole banning of the word "shirt". I really doubt had Bangate 2012 not happened that KL wouldn't have started cracking down like she did.

The boards will definitely pick up again. And it's the crazy brides that I enjoy, and they obviously aren't on PB. But, I'll miss all the regular chatter that having a bunch of regs allowed for.
