We did a box of two chocolate truffles from a local chocolate company.  My husbands grandma worked there as a chocolate dipper when she was young :-)

We're ordering 2 oz. glass jars to fill with local honey for our wedding. I'd like to do a candy bar also that could be our 2nd favor but that's up in the air right now.

I ordered glass coasters when they were 99 cents for a pack of 2. We are printing and putting monograms of the guest's last name in the picture insert area, then attaching their table assignment to it: favors and table cards in one! Married couples will walk out with a set of 4. Seems like a nice "keeper".

We are also DIY-ing our centerpieces, and will put a card under one place setting at each table telling whoever sits there that they can take the centerpiece (fresh flowers and vase) home. May be tacky, but I don't care if we get the vases back since I'm buying them pretty cheap, and I don't want people just grabbing them. I also don't want to be responsible, or have the caterer be responsible, for removing them.

boxes with skittles in half and m&ms in the other half of the boxes. It's our cheap way of getting monogrammed favors... his initial is M and mine is S!

I love the honey idea too.

We were going to do CD favors, because H has a connection to a recording guy so we could've gotten them really inexpensively - like $40 for 100!  We ended up not doing favors at all, though.

If only we'd been making soap back then like we are now, we'd have had the favors set and they'd have been (1) nice, (2) useful, and (3) really personal because we'd have made them ourselves!

My husband is Canadian Chinese so we had smalll satin Chinese Brocade  bags made while traveling is Asia before our wedding and filled them with Hersey Kisses.  I also found stickers online to stick on the bottom of the kisses personalizes with 'Thank-you for sharing our Day', our names, date etc.  I would have perferred to get the kisses from the Hersey's website - they will personalize the paper tag with your names or 'Just Married' but the shipping was ridiculous.

Since we got married at a vineyard I also had wine charms on everyone's wine glass - that was more for me than anything though - but everyone took theirs home so I guess they like them!

I'm stuck between being the philanthropic bride and the not so philanthropic bride.  My mom is a three time cancer survivor, so in place of favors, I was going to use that money to walk in our area Breast Cancer 3 Day event.  Then at the reception have a table with pictures from the event and a message letting people know in place of favors this is what the money went to.

The other two ideas I had were a.) caramel and chocolate covered apples for our autumn wedding theme, that would also remind people of our signature cocktail, which will be a chocolate apple martini. b.) My FI is asian, so I thought it would be cute to get those personalized fortune cookies and place them in mini chinese take-out boxes.....ugh now I'm more confused!

lol, good ideas from everyone though

We're infusing our wedding with a 'Rocktober' theme (basically retro rock), so we are getting record albums pressed for our favors!

I found these adorable deep bronze colored mini galvanized buckets at Michaels they are very chic and only $1.00 each, and my mom makes a fabulous homemade fudge so we are tying it up with raffia and placing it into the tins to set on everyones plate at the reception, relatively inexpensive since we are only having about 75 guests:)

We're doing Jelly Belly jelly beans (Our favorite candy) in little purple (Wedding color) boxes.

We picked Cappucino and Toasted Marshmellow for the flavors because they're both "wintery" and they were 2 flavors we like that actually seemed to "go" together.

We did a favor bag which included:  a wedding cd with all of our married guests "first dance"/wedding songs, and our wedding song; a personalized bottle of wine; a praline from my favorite local candy maker (the wedding was in N.O.); a red velvet cupcake from a local cupcake bakery; and a beautiful business card which had our new address, phone number, etc.  The bags were a huge success!

My fiance LOVES tea and we want to have a favor that can be used and not collect dust without going the chocolate route. SO, we've decided we're having a wonderful tea from teaforte dot com. We're not sure what flavor tea yet, but that's what we've decided on!

My FI is Canadian as well, so I'm making jars filled with cinnamon pancake mix and ordering Canadian maple syrup bottles to go along side them.

I REALLY want to make truffles.  It's a hobby of mine, though I've never had to do so many.
I doubt I'll have the time as I don't want to ship several hundred of them, and I live 2500 miles away from our location (where I grew up).
We're pretty sure we're going to buy those little chinese takeout boxes and chop sticks - it's just a matter of what to put in those boxes now.

Our wedding is at a golf course so we're doing white choctolate golf balls and putting them in square cake boxes wrappd in polka dot personalized ribbon. Tied to the ribbon is going to be a personized golf tee. Though it was cute without going too over board. Plus my family are HUGE golfers, so the golf tee witll go to  use!

we're doing sugar cookies at each place setting--my fiancee is a dentist, and i'm a nurse...so some of the cookies are tooth-shaped, and others like a nurse's cap. they're dipped in white chocolate and sprinkled with sugar for some sparkle. i think they turned out really cute and they reflect on us a little!

We are having our reception at a Casino so we are going to do a deck of playing cards and dice in a bag with a sheet of games that can be played. The best part about it, the cards and dice will be authentic from the Casino. They are giving them to us and all we had to do was make a donation to the charity of our choice!

We are  busy trying to combine two households and decided we had too many favors from previous weddings. We decided to give to a local charity and place cards on the tables telling the guest.
