Ice cream?

I would LOVE to hire an ice cream truck to come part way through the reception, music blaring and all.  The problem is: we are having a winter wedding.  We are in Arizona, so winter weddings in no way mean snow [at least in this part of the state], but it will still be fairly chilly.  Do you think this idea is destined to fail because of the weather?  Are there any other ideas you guys think might work better?  I love the vintage feel of ice cream trucks, and that it could replace an expensive cake that people might not even eat anyway.  My other idea was a hot cocoa bar, but that wouldn't be able to replace the cake.

Thoughts?  Thanks!

Instead of a truck, maybe you can rent one of those push a long ice cream stations. The kind that you would see at the park, with one person pushing it and it fits maybe 4 tubs of ice cream (or filled with ice cream bars)?  Sometimes they have balloons attached to them so the kids can see them! lol, I have no idea what they are actually called.  Since it is snowy, this could be used inside the reception area and still gives a fun vintage feel.

I love the idea of the cocoa bar but undertand it not replacing the cake.  Maybe you can have individual cocoa packets as favors?  Here's a link for some hot chocolate on a stick which is neat.

A couple of times in prior jobs, as a fun thing, my employer rented the ice cream vendor push carts. I googled "ice cream push cart Phoenix" and got these websites

    http://www.partypop.com/Categories/Ice_Cream_Carts/Phoenix.htm

    http://www.pushcarts.com/cart_rentals.html

Good luck. Even in winter, I think this would be fun.

Both the ceremony and reception are outdoors unless we switch venues, with the reception being held under a canopy.

Thanks for all the links!  I really like the hot chocolate on a stick!  And, I noticed there is a cotton candy cart for rental on pushcarts.com, and I know that would definitely please my mom!
