Bad haircut

So I had a Christmas party to go to and needed a haircut. I have waist lenght, THICK hair. I go into a recommended salon and she gave me a shag. My hair looks like it is to my chin on top and then long in the back. It is AWFUL. I have 3 months to the day until I get married and am having my hair down and curly. I am freaking out and hope it grows back. I started taking prenatal pills just to get it to grow. I can't stop crying everytime I look in a mirror and I feel it may ruin my wedding.  Any suggestions???

    extensions (the temporary clip in kind!) My hair just grows slow and extensions will be my saving grace, whether i go up or down!

    Question though- if your hair was waist length, what did you ask the stylist to do to it that they cut off so much? Not being critical, just wondering. I have asked for one thing and got something totally different, so I know what you must feel like. Stylists have different interpretations and I find bringing pictures helps to communicate ideas.

    On average, hair grows 1/2 in. per month.  So it's not going to grow out much. I suggest you start thinking of a backup plan and schedule a hair trial with a stylist.

    Extensions, even the clip-in kind, might help. Curly  hair looks really good when there are layers, have you tried your syle yet with your new cut?

    Well I asked for it to be layered, as I always do. She layered it all the way up to my eye level. It is quite rediculous. It is as though I have bangs that start far back on my head. I also did not see what she was doing because she turned me around and said she wanted to "suprise me." Well I am suprised! I will probably end up with extentions, but it just kills me. My one good attribute is my hair and I feel like it has been taken away.

    Oooh, the fact that she turned you away from the mirror would've been a huge red flag to me.

    I second extensions too, that might be your best option.

    Do you not have a regular stylist? Something to consider. I'm super picky about my hair, and since birth only 5 people have ever cut it

    I will NOT be returning. I asked for layers. she did not cut off the length of my hair so I was unaware she was cuting the top layer so short. I guess it's not the end of the world, but it is just a setback for what I wanted for my hair.

    Prenatal pills work, Biotin helps too. They sell hair skin and nail pills.

    Thanks for all the great ideas ladies. I am taking prenatal pills and plan on getting it fixed in 2 months and hope for the best...Good luck on all your wedding planning.
