Santa Barbara Zoo

Has anyone gotten married or attended any weddings at the Santa Barbara Zoo? My fiance and I are strongly considering it for our 200 person, May wedding and would love to get any feedback on someone else's wedding experience there.

    Never been to a wedding at a zoo but it sounds AWESOME!  SB Zoo has a Capybara..my favorite animal!

    I haven't ever personally attended a wedding there, but I have known several people who decided to have their wedding there or just have private parties there, and it is a really beautiful, and popular, but unique location.  

    The only think I would recommend is looking into renting heaters if your reception is going to go into the evening.  The marine layer can make that hill quite chilly, even in the summer.

    I attended an event for the opening of their new hilltop area a year or two ago and it was amazing!  Gorgeous location and I always love Rincon Catering's food.

    I'm getting married there in 2012.

    So far I've been very impressed with the service and the available options.
