it's been easing up unless I eat something bad. The nausea has hit me like a ton of bricks, though.

Ick. I hope it improves. Hopefully it'll be very short, and you'll be completely done by 12 weeks.

I;m praying to get through the next 5 weeks. It was hard the other day when I was feeling lousy and we were with my ILs. We haven't told the families yet.

we told the families at 8w6d after i had my first sonogram.

one of my friends who is due in 6 weeks has been having a lot of heartburn issues, and she started eating apple slices and a handful of almonds before bed, and sleeping with her upper body more elevated - so far it's really been helping.

when you're nauseous and/or dizzy, try laying on your left side with your left arm under your head - the first aid "recovery" position. it should help a little - especially to prevent you from throwing up. if you lay on your right side, you're more likely to get sick due to the shape of your stomach.

That's good to know. Also, that's how I normally sleep. I did up my pillow to two and try to sleep a little more raised that seems to help a little with the nausea. Really, I'd like to barf. Maybe it would give me a little relief.

Have you tried prilosec or zantac?

I didn't take a zantac yesterday and I had a tiny bit of heartburn after dinner, but nothing horrific. I think I can start to wean now.

I take pepsid once a day and keep chewy rolaids on me at all times.

Keep in mind that have chronic GERD regardless of being preg. It's been hard going off of my meds in general. I'm off of all of my IBS meds too.

Oh wow. So nothing will really help.

I'm sorry doll. I hope things improve for you.

i've heard that throwing up doesn't really help - you still feel sick after - but I've only thrown up on one day since I was 8yo. I got food poisoning when i was 20 and threw up 3 times in one hour - nothing since.

i hate throwing up, so very happy that i haven't yet.

I've thrown up once since my BFP.

    I'm very grateful.

Thanks, Ladies. It's improving a lot. Just have to be more aware of what I eat and I know when it's getting time to take my pepsid.
