I purchased a Vistaprint Groupon for invitatoins, I found a matching invitation and RSVP card design that I love. However, they just don't fit onto the Gatefold/Pocket cards that I was going to order from cardsandpockets.com. My colors are turquoise and red, and I want my colors to be well represented in my invitation kit. I also want it to have a formal enough representation (not casual). I have two choices:
A. - I can order turquoise envelopes with red liners from cardsandpockets then order the invitations and rsvp cards from Vistaprint and just tie them up with a bow in the envelope, instead of pasting onto the gatefold cards. This would be the most budget efficient option since I already purchase the vistaprint groupon and the invitations/rsvp's would essentially be 'free'.
Or
B. - I can do the same turquoise envelopes with liners, add on the turquoise gatefold cards, and order different invites (that could be printed in proper size) that I would have to have printed at Kinkos to paste onto the gatefold cards. This would increase my costs by about $80-$100. And I would have to use vistaprint groupon I already purchased for something else.
So my question is: Is it still nice and formal enough to send the invitations without ordering the gatecards to paste them on? As long as I wrap them in a pretty bow with the RSVP and other enclosure cards, will that still look good? Or too casual?
Feel free to critique the wording as well.
Here's a link to the design, except I had the writing in red.
