Wedding Officiant

We are somewhat overwhelmed by where to even start looking for wedding officiants.  We want a non-denominational ceremony and want it to be kind of light hearted and unique. We also want it to be upbeat and funny at times, but are struggling with having a complete stranger marry us.  Problem is, we don't know anyone that could officiate either.   Then the fiance tells me that he'd also prefer the officiant to be male (I have no idea why, but I'll go with it).  Any help would be great.

Uniting Hearts has 2 or 3 officiants on staff. I know that Nora does a great job, but you mentioned wanting a male officiant. They do have one male on staff. Maybe give a call and see if he clicks with what you want. Good luck!

We're writing the ceremony ourselves and have asked my fiance's oldest sister to become ordained and marry us.  It's really imporartant to me to be married by someone who knows us, not a stranger.  It's realy easy to become ordained and licensed in Ohio if you want the steps she used here they are:

Here is the link to the free ordination site.

Ohio requires a "live signature" which will add an extra step and $5
    You'll need an "ordination credential"

When they mail you your ordination paper you send it in with this form and $10

Here's more info if you need it
