What are you getting SO for the Holidays?

I decided to get DH some video games, a subscription to playboy and some slippers for around the house.

Apparently when I ordered the magazine subscrption my billing address on my CC was my parents address.... opps.Embarassed So tonight when I am talking to my mom about DH christmas present from them (a Kindle) my parents decided to ask me about a piece of mail from PB. Needless to say I played dumb and acted like I had no idea what it was about.

Thankfully I've updated my address and hopefully I don't have to go through that again.

    That's so funny! :)

We're kind of tight on money this year, so we aren't supposed to go too big with christmas presents.

I got him a new shirt, a hat that he's been wanting but refuses to buy for himself, and two seasons of Dexter. I think I got him something else, but I can't remember what it is right now.

We agreed not to get each other anything this year.  We're both a little short on cash, and we made a couple big joint purchases earlier this fall, so those will serve as our gifts.

    A puppy (:

I told him that I don't want gifts this year, that I'd rather he spend money on his puppy (so I don't have to buy all the accessories that new puppies require).

So pretty much, she's our joint Christmas gift, except if we ever separate he gets the dog and I get a bunch of chew toys, a dog bed, and a crate that's much too large for my mini-poodle mix.

AW: Akira at 3 weeks (our most recent pic) because I can't resist!  She's the only one playing out of all her brothers and sisters in her pics from last week (:  She's going to be troubleeeee

Last year I got him the first 5 seasons of the simpsons, this year I'm hoping to get the next 5 for him, but it depends on how cheap I can find them. Last year I got them all used and the store was having a sale so it wasn't too bad.

I'm getting him an iPod Nano and some smaller stocking-stuffer type things. I've never really gone all out for him before, so this year I'm going for it. We always set a $100 limit, and I'd always stick with it and he'd always overspend, so hopefully it'll be the opposite this year (although, we have bumped it up anyway...I'll still be going well over).

BF and I have the same disease. It's called the "when-I-find-something-I-want-I-get-fixated-and-usually-buy-it-for-myself-ASAP-if-I-can-afford-it" disease. We both have a tendency to get very one-track-minded. I know he wants this coffee maker that makes the coffee directly into a carafe, which keeps it warm without burning it up. He's a huge coffee fiend. It's a little expensive for me this year. Ehh. I think I can swing it if I'm careful about the rest of my presents. :)

    Lol. That is funny.

My BF doesnt want me to spend alot of money on him this year and just wants to get stuff for everyone but him. But I am still going to spoil him. He is getting a new set of screwdrivers, new slippers for around the house, the first three seasons of The Big Bang Theory (his favorite show), some new shirts, and a few more things that I havent figured out yet.

My family tradition is the girls buy gold herringbone necklaces for the guys once they are engaged. My grandmother (dad's mom) bought my grandfather one, my mom bought my dad two, and my sister-in-law got my brother one as a wedding gift. So in hoping that I will be engaged by christmas, I bought a necklace.

So after getting him to give me some sort of list of different things he might want I've finally been able to pick up some stuff for him and think of other things he had mentioned a while back. So far I've gotten him Very Sexy cologne from Victoria's Secret (it smells amazing and he actually likes it!), a Dallas Cowboys hoodie (his favorite fb team), a watch, and then a random military history book and a travel 'cosmetic' case thing...that one is super random but he actually needs that. Smile

ps. jacquiroxx- your puppy is SUPER cute :) we actually got our puppy in January and she's finally going to be 1 year on December 4...I guess I need to stop calling her a puppy by now. I can't believe our baby is so big lol

    I can't wait!  I love puppy pictures!

Once, I was staying with a relative over the week between Christmas and New Year's, and some friends of hers had received a new yellow lab puppy for Christmas.  However, they had already planned a ski trip for that week, so they left the puppy with us.  I felt bad for them having to wait an extra week to play with her, but it was great for me!!

Last year BF was short on cash so we did a $100 limit. This year we have upped that considerably. However, we are getting eachother things that we need and would be going out to buy anyways.

So, I'm getting BF a 3 piece suit with 2 shirts and 2 ties plus a couple small items and our his stocking. He'd never had a job before where he needed to where a full suit everyday. Consequently, he is constantly investing in his wardrobe now.

He's picking out seat covers (camo) for the new truck and I'm getting him a Wii game or something else I see.  He's so easy to buy for!

We are also starting the tradition of stockings.  I got him a bunch of little things with his college team on it, travel mug, decals, hat... then I'm going to get 2 lbs of the pb chocolate balls he loves!
