Either mac and cheese or chicken fingers. I haven't figured that out yet, but I'm leaning towards the chicken fingers. You can't go wrong with them!

Since we are serving dinner family style, the kids eat pretty much the same as the adults except they get mini Cambodian baby egg rolls aka Lots for appettizers (adults get spring rolls) and chicken wings instead of the steak tips.

We did family style too.  We served macaroni and cheese, mini meatloaves wrapped in bacon, roasted chicken, mashed potatoes, roasted veggies, cornbread, salad, etc.  If a kid couldn't find something from that list to eat, then they're a weird kid and their mom probably packed something for them.

I do have two cousins who eat noodles with butter ONLY.  I think that's ridiculous and didn't cater to their pickiness.  One is in high school!  Grow up already.  Haha, I am so bitter (their mom, my aunt, complained to me during the entire reception, about other stuff....she also told me how stupid the photobooth idea was).  They get no sympathy points from me!

I guess the only thing to watch out for are allergies, since kids seem to be allergic to a lot these days.  We had two shellfish allergies, 3 vegetarians, and 1 gluten-free guest.  Our caterer was able to serve appropriate food to all of them.

How old are the kids? Pasta with marinera is a pretty safe bet, and if you serve the sauce on the side, then  they can have plain pasta or pasta with butter and/or cheese if they'd rather.

party poopers! btw I love comfort food especially when it is served family style!

There will be two vegetarian dishes and people who are allergic to shellfish can always eat good ol chicken. <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-cool.gif" border="0" alt="Cool" title="Cool" />

Chicken fingers and french fries. One of the kids is allergic to everything but fried food--go figure!

would you believe that the parents of the only kids we invited requested the steak option for them?????  isn't it a safe assumption that if your kid is actually invited to a night wedding, s/he is getting a kids meal and NOT a $60 plate of steak????

Belle Mer is doing Chicken Fingers & Fries for us at $30/per. Still high for a kids meal, but better than the adult meal.
