Couples shower.... long or short dress

I am a bride and my friends are throwing us a couples shower. The attire is Sunday's best! It is on a sunday at 5 o'clock. I am debating on wearing a long ivory maxi dress or a short ivory dress with pearls? does anyone have any suggestions.
