Bridal Shower Location - Fairview Park

So I am looking for a not so traditional place near the Fairview Park area to host a Bridal Shower for my friend in September. Some place that would either cater or could bring a cateror in. Mostly just looking for a fun building that fits with my bride's personality. I'm on the east side myself so I know nothing out there. And I should throw in here that my friend is NOT a traditional bride, is wearing a black dress and getting married at the mansfield reformatory. We all work on haunted houses for a living so Halloween in our thing. Anyone have anything that pops into your head? And it doesn't have to be gothic or whatever - just something different.

What time of year and how many guests?

Lake Erie nature & science center in Bay Village, if she is into nature at all? A local bowling alley might be fun. I've never been, but maybe Fairview Lanes. Call around to see who would have room. You could reserve a few lanes for the party. On the flip side, Nicholson House in Lakewood is an old house with atmosphere that she may like? Or, the Cleveland zoo has various facilities available for rent. Not sure what kind of angle you have in mind. Hope this gives you some ideas. Good luck!

How about the Bain Cabin in Fairview Park? My friend just had her shower there - there's a kitchen so you can bring your own food or have a caterer come in. The inside has nice castle-style chandeliers, etc. It could be a great venue with some additional decor. Going along with Julie's bowling suggestion, the Winking Lizard in Lakewood has a bowling alley in their basement. You could probably reserve the entire room for some privacy. Catering would be through the Winking Lizard.

If you wanted to stay in Fairview Park, the new Rec Center has party rooms you can rent. I believe you can bring in any outside caterer.
