Help!!!! Old Hollywood Glam Wedding

My wedding isn't until July 2011 but I am doing it DIY style and I need all the ideas and advice that I can use. My ceremony venue is on the (outside)riverfront downtown in my city and my reception is at a venue overlooking the lake....that's all I have so far...so please, please, please any comments/advice would be helpful!

I'm also planning an Old Hollywood wedding (FI and I are screenwriters, it seemed like the perfect story of us).

Totally doing the red carpet, thinking of using red velvet stanchions in the aisles for the ceremony (behind the velvet rope, anyone?), and we've been researching the photo booth. Our Save the Dates were movie tickets (done amazingly by Jamie Konet, this awesome chick on Etsy) and our placecards will be as well. Each table will be a movie, and the placecard tickets will give our guests "admission" to that movie.
