Must Take Photos

Anyone have a good list or a Pinterest board of photo ideas? I need to get cracking on my list.

And how many specific photos are you asking for? I don't want a super long list, b/c I want my photographer to have the freedom to take a lot of natural pictures, but it would be nice to have a few creative yet planned shots, too.

You can check out my "Must Take" photos on pinterest, but they are mostly creative shots, not really staged ones. http://pinterest.com/lmdavis915/must-take-photos/

Not sure if this is the same with yours, but my photographers want a comprehensive list, so I'm going to have to sit down and make that for them - mostly for formal shots in the church, since we have limited time, and places we want to get photos in Philly before heading out to the suburbs.

@Bridetobe - I have to give her the list of the different staged ones (like which groups of ppl have to take shots with the B&G) but I also wanted to give her a list of creative shots I like (like the incredibly random, "shot of BM's shoes" kind of shots).

Bmore - Cool. Yeah, I think we need to do the same (like, "Bride with Mom and Grandma; Groom with parents; etc.). The creative ones I think are more fun to identify though . . . but I still want them to use their own creativity and come up with stuff that looks natural! I totally agree

I'm totally stalking this thread! There were some I already had on my board, but a couple I didn't and I'm hoping to find more. There are a lot that I love that I can't do because I'm not having a traditional wedding party and my parents are both deceased, but I love the styles of both our photographers and I'm trusting them to come up with unique ways to incorporate my kids, my bridal party that isn't and our other quirks. We're not doing E pics till June and only with one of the photographers, but I'm planning on printing the pics I like so she'll have an idea of things to aim for and I'm going to hand them to our second photographer the day of so he'll have an idea as well.

Because of my brain damage, I take a ton of pics, but I lean towards the action shots rather than the staged ones. That being said, I've found myself more than once scouring for more posed shots for photo gifts and such so I've started doing those as well (it's easier once kids get older to get them all to smile and hold still). I guess I want the best of both worlds. Fabulous posed photos I can put into frames to display and amazing shots of unplanned moments I can put in albums.

We chose our date based on when our photographer was available... yes, she's just that awesome... We'll give her a list of formal shots but otherwise I plan to let her work her magic

Yeah! I need a photography ONLY pinboard! Thanks so much ladies. I just got a sample disc from our photographer and am excited to work with her. I too will be watching this thread and will set a link when I've created my board.

Edit: Okay, there goes an hour, but my photo board is done. I also have lots of other wedding related boards too
