DJ advice

I have contacted SO many dj's for our wedding and they are all already booked for our date (which is still about a year away - geesh!)

I was wondering if anyone has ever used (or been to a wedding that has used) the pros or mad hatter productions?

Or, if anyone has reccomendations??

I am using the Pros for DJ and photographer. (they're also cheapest we could find).  We have DJ Craig Ice  (he's also a DJ on the radio, forget what station, but I believe he goes by DJ Sub Zero there).  HE IS AWESOME!  We've talked to him several times, and he really works with you to keep in your budget.  He's been really helpful and I can't wait!  He has his own lighting system that's like a dance club, lol...of course we're using that, our wedding is NYE.

We are using Ryan Miller Entertainment.  His prices are reasonable.

We are using the Pros also.  We have DJ Cj Coolsen.  You can go to one of there Wine and Cheese showcases and check them out (that's what I did).  I actually went to 2 of them one without my FI and one with.  The good thing is if you book that night you get $150 off the price :)  Celebrations seems to be a good too.  Ron use to work for the pros (he was my Fi's choice) but he started up there own company.  HTH

I used the Pros for my wedding on June 12th.  I had Matt K from Allentown since we booked late there wasn't anyone from Harrisburg available but they didn't charge us extra for travel.  I was very happy with the service; we gave him a few songs to pay which he did and based the rest on requests and the types of songs people were dancing to.  Also, it was definetely one of the cheapest places.  You fill out all your song and any other special requests online.  My DJ called the Monday before the wedding to verify everything and go over any questions I had.

Have you tried Complete Music?  I booked them, and they came highly recommended to me.  They were very reasonably priced too.

Those of you who have already booked - what kind of price range are DJs in the area charging? I haven't started calling around yet and I'm hoping not to be too shocked!

for 4 hrs it was $595.  There's different packages you can get and the "per hour" rate after the package rate.  Some DJ's will add on their own time and charge you much less per hour.
