The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman

Have any of you read this? We are reading it in our counceling and it is amazing! The first chapter had me relating to so much stuff. I think if every couple that was struggling put these thoughts into action, it would probably help. (If both of them were committed to do what the other needed.)

What did/do you think of it?

My sister in law let my fiance and I borrow this book.  She says it is really good!  We haven't gotten a chance to read it yet since my fiance has been really busy with grad school but his winter break is starting this week so hopefully over the break we will get to read it!

I have not ready it but me and FI did the online assessments for Love and Apology. I am really glad we did them. We used them in our counseling class. The book that we used was Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts by Les and Leslie Parrott. It is amazing. I really recommend it. Here is the link for the assessments.

We used that book for one of my classes during my freshman year at college. I love it! I had my fiance take the quiz on the site and we found out that we have the same primary love language.

Thanks Amy! I wonder if we are going to read that book too? I will read it for sure, if we don't use it. Thanks for the link also. I really wanted to take it but thought I should wait, I am sure we will do it in our next meeting.

I've read it! And love it. It really explains a lot of stuff about relationships in a very real way! Even if you don't like parts of the book (or all of the book) it's a great conversation starter.

I learned a lot about communication styles and how to really use what we know about each other to have the best relationships possible. I definitely reccomend it to anyone and everyone :)

We read it together over the summer and loved it! I think it was good for thinking about our relationships with our parents, as well.
