Wilmington Area Cake/Cupcakes

Anyone have any recommendations?

We have a tasting in March with Crazy Cake Chicks at Oak Island and will most likely use them but I think I should have a back up plan in case we aren't impressed.

    haha I know it sounds lame but Fresh Market makes some really awesome cupcakes.

    Fresh market makes everything awesome. However, I haven't seen one down here on the coast yet. I don't know about bakeries, maybe just google/yellow page?  Hopefully the crazy chicks will workout though!

    There's a Fresh Market in Wilmington.  According to the FM website it's at 1060 International Drive.

    Fresh Market is in the Mayfaire area.  If you want cupcakes there is a place in downtown Wilm called Coastal Cupcakes.  They are good but I don't think they are that great.  I dont' have any cake suggestions yet.

    Island Cakery in Carolina Beach is good as well. Very nice ladies and great to work with. They will deliver and work with your budget.
