Who's using Draping?

Draping is SOOO important to me during the ceremony portion of my wedding . I love my location but I don't like the top portion of the pillars so I want to add a little flare and elegance  to overshadow it.

I know draping can be pricey and a lot of work so I opted for something simple that I can have my bridesmaids or a family member do.  I posted a photo below that I took at my wedding site, and also a picture I found online of someone else wedding.  I feel that it looks a little bare.  I also added the photo of the look I hope to achieve with a little draping  (minus the flowers).  Is Anyone else doing a little draping and if so have you found any Steals?

Re: Who's using Draping?

  • I will be using draping I love draping and lighting I'm hoping my wedding can get a great deal on both well everything really LOL!
  • I have draping everywhere.  LOL!  For my venue I had to have it to add the dram and ambience that I am going for.  It is pricey for sure but my event designer and the venue offered pricing that was still below the market rate.

  • I'm having ceremony draping and like one panel of draping at the reception. If it was up to me there wouldve been draping everywhere

<div>What is the normal going rate? I'm trying to figure out the most cost effective way to come as close as possible to achieving the look I want. </div>

  • ttorie it's going to be dependent on the company you use and the detail of your draping. They charged me separate prices for each piece then discounted some of it because I was using them for multiple services. You're going to need to contact several event design ppl in your area and have them come out and look at your ceremony space. It depends on the fabric measurements, how much support they need to bring in , etc. I would say your design could be $600+++

</div><div>Here is some of the draping styles I have in my design.  When I got a quote earlier this year the total cost was approx $3,100 through my event designer.  I expect this to go up some since I had to postpone the wedding.  I won't know what that increase is until early next year but this should give you some idea of what I am getting.
