XP- Invitiation wording

Which of these sound better? My fiance and I are paying for the wedding ourselves so I wasn't sure which one to use.

Re: XP- Invitiation wording

  • The text on those is too small for me to read. I can tell the first one says "Together with their families" but I can't make out the second one.

Dang- Basically on says "Together with their families" and the other says "The Blank and Blank families cordially invite you to attend the wedding of their children...."

  • I prefer together with their families, if that's the only difference. It's simpler.

  • I also prefer "Together with their families". The other way seems a little too wordy.

[QUOTE]I do not generally like togethor with their families.  To me, if some parents are nice enough to provide substantial help with wedding, I think they should get their names in invite.

Well neither of our parents are paying for it, we are paying for the whole thing.

  • If your families aren't helping pay, then they are not hosts, and you are not required to put their names or 'with their families' on the invites.

The Knot has a whole FAQ on this on their invite ideas page.
