Random Venting

Sorry everyone, I just need to get this off my chest!

So I called the park where I was supposed to be getting married this morning just to confirm when they needed my payment and the amount. I got told that I need to change my date because they rented my building to someone else!

Almost 3 months ago when I originally called I was told I wouldn't need a reservation, that the building would already be mine. When I called today I was told that the reason they rented the building to someone else is because they set up a reservation a couple WEEKS ago.

Call me crazy-it just doesn't seem right.

Now with just over a month unti lmy wedding and everything else paid for I need to find another venue and let everyone know! I just want to rip someone's head off!

    Wow thats just wrong with a little over a month to go... Best of luck finding somewhere that fast.. At least you have everything else done so you can just move them and not have to find other vendors

    There's a church hall right in town that I'm pretty well sure we can use. I just didn't want to use it because I can see it when I look out my window! I wanted something a little bit further away because I really didn't want to see my home when I went outside. Other than that everything in our area is being used! I feel miserable right now because of all of this!

    at least you know of some place thats free... Your day is going to be amazing and you'll be surrounded by loved ones and in the end thats all that really matter... Hang in there give it'll all work out!!!

    wow that really sux!! i am so sorry....... best of luck and if you were in iowa i would totally hook you up with another site i have all kinds of connections here !!!!!!!!! i know that doesnt help but it the thought that counts right? maybe not in this situation.... and personally i would have cussed those people out

    That does stink. But think outside the box and go from there. I am sure you will find something. That is really wrong of them, but right now you can't dwell on it, you just have to move on. Good luck

    That sucks :( You should rip those people a new one!!

    Good luck finding a place! I'm sure there are lots of other options available :) if not, at least you have one place to fall back on.

    We found a park that we wanted to have the wedding at in southern Erie County. We're calling more places first thing Monday, hopefully we can get a shelter at a different park where we would have different people to work with. The way that the whole situation was hamdled was one of the most unprofessional and immature things I've ever dealt with- even after working in retail for the past 5 years!

    If we can't find someplace within the next week I'm going to talk to my aunt and uncle because they already offered to let us use their home and yard for our wedding. When she told me the other night I broke down in tears because I was so happy!
