How much did you pay for DJ + uplighting?

Shopping around for DJ's with uplighting and got one quote for $1700 one DJ, one MC, and uplighting for the entire room. What has everyone else been quoted at and from where?

We paid $2400 for DJ plus uplighting. He also did our ceremony music but I can't remember how much... It wasn't a lot and was cheaper than live musicians (we did them for the cocktail hour instead). Your quote sounds great!

$1795 with tax and that includes cocktail hour (ours is 1 1/2hr) and 4 hr reception with uplighting, a dj, some floor/music lighting (not sure what the technical term is) and mc. That's the best deal I found and I've seen them in action..they're great!

FYI...there is no tax on DJs. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Im paying 1500 with one dj, one mc and one candid photographer, 2 x 50 icnh plasmas and half room uplighting, he is doing ceremony, cocktail hour and 4 hours of reception. Best deal I think, never heard him play but did see his samples and videos of weddings
