A week. I'll get through it. He gave me "permission" to spend money on scrapbooking stuff so I can do a wedding book. If only he knew how expensive the hobby really is! :)

It's time. Adoption saving and process started in November 2012.

Petra-I haven't been on in awhile and this may be a stupid question, but what happened to your ankle??

Oh, it's recovery from the last surgery to fix my leg. Last summer I broke everything from ankle to pelvis and tore the ligaments, too. Two knee surgeries and an ankle reconstruction later, I'm out of the cast and starting the next round of physical therapy. But, the ankle is really limited in range of motion, so sleeping can be kind of restless since I have to shift around every few minutes when the ankle gets sore.

But, many good things have happened as a direct result of the accident, so I have no serious complaints. Only some sleepless nights sometimes, because I hate taking the big drugs if I can avoid it. But... Doc confirmed I'll be walking down the aisle!

No clue.

Limited options out here in Sioux Falls, especially considering what an unadventurous eater my husband is. Probably Spezia or Foley's. Both have delicious pasta and seafood options.

Sarah- thanks, I will. It feel so good to be doing something with the muscles in my leg again.

barb- When FI and I found out what it would cost to do the invites we wanted, we hit up a scrapbooking store. Holy Odin! Both of us decided that would be a dangerous long term hobby. Too much cool stuff, too much money to spend. But, our invites turned out really cool. I've got pictures around here somewhere...

cew- thanks! I'm pretty darn excited about that.
barb- straight up optimism has helped me through some pretty tough times. I've been really fortunate. The docs at the Orthopedic Center of the Rockies looked at me and saw a geologist who does mountaineering for a living, and offered me treatment for the best possible athletic recovery. The first doc who saw me up here saw a fat, middle-aged woman and sent me home to 'learn to live with a weak knee'. I'm the soon-to-be-walking poster child for a second opinion.

[QUOTE] The Sandals resort at Antigua is pretty much perfect for us; we'll probably do one of the rooms with private pool and jacuzzi on the porch, beach about 40 feet away, butler service, bar and in-room dining if and when you want it, so basically we just relax, eat and drink all day wherever we want to in the resort and it's all included, bunch of different restaurants, sushi bar, etc. and then there's several casinos on the island which is a bonus since we love gambling. Only downside is the room we want is ~$1500/day, so we can't do that the whole honeymoon lol. That's what got Cayman involved; I have a bunch of friends that live there so if we go there we can stay at a nice resort and go party with locals at night. What I'm trying to figure out now is how to get between the various places and what days we'd have to do it; there's direct flights from Tampa (home) to Cayman, there's Miami to Cayman and there's Miami to Antigua. I have to figure out what cities would be best to go between and in what order and times of day, etc. It's turning into a far bigger mess than you'd think just trying to visit two places lol.

Hey Vegas -

We had one of those kind of rooms at the Sandals in St. Lucia for our honeymoon, and while it was hard at first to justify the cost, we decided that it was our honeymoon and worth splurging on, especially since we would probably never do anything like that again. And I must say, it was totally worth it! We had an amazing time, & the staff was awesome. The idea of having a "butler" was a lttle wierd wierd at first, but they were so nice & helpful, and really hooked us up in every way imaginable. Just my 2 cents

The dog kept me up most the night, she would hear something then be in the window growling, and barking. And her tags rattle. DH sleeps through it all, while I'm up most the night telling her to lay down and hush. So I'm sleepy.

We are trying to get a menu plan together the whole family is coming next weekend. And most of them will be going to the Canton Hall of Fame induction on Sat. And the football game (Cowboys & Bengals) on Sunday.

So I have to figure out what to do with my MIL while everyone is gone.

BTW- Good morning lovlelies, and Vegas.

Matt has crops? Nice! I'm multitasking like whoa like now. STDs (of the date saving variety), guest list address inputing and updating, honeymoon researching (one of the bonuses of pushing back the date is that we get to go on one!), and FI harassing. I'm amazing.

ETA: and knotting, of course!

Yes! He has crops. He loves them so much. It's actually been an awesome learning experience for Ben. They have corn, squash, lettuce and watermelon. They picked a few ears of corn and 2 pieces of squash yesterday. They were so damn proud.

The only thing that sucks about his crops is that they are in our front yard.

I'm here, kind of. I'm back and forth from chores to writing to SB to debating what kind of junk food I want for breakfast/lunch. We watched Repo Men last night, which resulted in a very graphic and disturbing dream, so I'm kind extremely tired. H is working so he won't be home until later.

But, Hook is about to come on and I'm very happy about that. Peter Pan has always been my favorite fairy tale. Have you ever noticed that you can never find Peter Pan toys/Christmas tree ornaments/anything else? it's always Tinkerbell. When we go to Disney there better be some Peter Pan stuff.

Oh and side note, the "c" on my keyboard keeps sticking and won't type sometimes. So I apologize if it's missing and I didn't catch it.
