Hello everyone!!

My wonderful boyfriend and I are a part of a contest called 'Love Rocks!'

Each couple who enters has 500 characters to briefly describe their love story!

PLEASE take 2 seconds to vote for us!  Help us win the engagement ring of our dreams!!   It would mean everything to us... :)

    Also,  there are TONS of people out there would love the "ring of their dreams" or the wedding of their dreams or whatever these contests are promoting.  Why would we, strangers to you, help you win a contest?  

    I don't know you.  I don't care if you win.  And I don't want to hear your story.  Get lost.

    Wow... I thought finding a group of people who were madly in love just like me and not engaged yet would be perfect to chat with and help my significant other and I win this fun contest!

    I've never posted to forums before, I apologize if there are ''RULES'' that I did not follow.  I saw a message board, I relpied to a few peoples cute questions and surveys, and I thought it'd be neat to make my own post of the link to our contest.  I'm not sure how to navigate around this community yet.  But I'm trying.

    Sorry for offending you.  I thought it would be fun.  Everyone has been sharing wonderful stories, so I thought it would be neat to share mine.

    My goodness, No need to be rude.

    I won't post my link anymore.  Sorry for posting it in the first place.

    And maybe read the rules of the forum?  I really don't know any forums that allow solicitation of votes/vendor posting/etc.  It's a pretty standard rule.

    And OP, if you want to stay and play then please do but this vendor stuff is a total no-no.  I can play nice, as long as people follow the rules.

    Well, chewing gum in Singapore can get you flogged. I'm pretty sure claiming ignorance of rules is a terrible excuse.

    Actually, even in the U.S. ignorance of the law is not a valid excuse, and you will still get charged and convicted if that's your only defense.

    That being said, OP, feel free to share your story, just leave out the link to the contest.  The ladies here generally like nice stories about how couples met, etc.  We just don't support contests because it's against the board rules, which you are now aware of.  :-)

    Hi ladies!!

    I just wanted to let you ladies know that I think it's unfortunate that out of all the forums around the world that helped us out-- you ladies have been the only ones to jump down our throat.  It's suprising to me how unfriendly this wedding/engagement forum community has been!

    On that note... to any of you who clicked our link or viewed our love story and voted-- We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!!  We finished in 4th place with over 2,800 votes and ended up recieving the engagement ring of our DREAMS!!  The love and support from friends, family, and even strangers has been mind blowing!!  Thank you all!  =)

    No need to thank anyone here.  We did not help you win the engagement ring of your dreams.  In fact, I think even less of you for coming back to post this crap.

    As I recall, your story sucked and was poorly written.
