Cake - Disappointments

We got the sketch of our cakes back from the hotel.  I'm so disappointed in them.  They just are not what we were envisioning based on the pictures and our discussion.  I'm trying to find a better example of what we would like (the groom's is easier to adjust), but Ihate going back and saying we really don't like them.  It's the first real "miss" on anything.

    Is there anything you do like about them? I would go back and start with "I like this part, but can we change this somehow?" They want you to be a happy customer so they should be willing to change it for you.

    I would not be afraid to tell them its not what you want. They cant make it right if you dont. Maybe you could sketch out what you want?

    Definitely be specific with what you like, what you don't like, and how you would change it.  I think if you are capable of doing a sketch (either by hand or on the computer) that would really help the discussion and make sure that you get what you want.
