S/O FI peeing on kitten story

So my kitten had a mini fit a few hours ago because something was wrong with his ear and he was going craazzzy. Like shivering and crying and biting and just carrying on. So I called the vets and they said bring him in, I get him in the crate and then all of the sudden all is well in kittenville. So it turns out something was IN his ear and he just had to work it out himself.*

I tell FI about this and he starts freaking because he thought it was his fault because he peed on him.

It just keeps getting better!

* I know I am a crazy cat mom. I just get freaked out when my little animals are in pain!

  • What do you mean FI peed on him? He peed on your cat?
  • WAAAAAIT.  Your fiance PEED on your cat?  Why?

  • This is copied and pasted from the good morning thread:

So yesterday we put up our christmas tree (yay!). FI was stressing about making everything perfect because I am such a christmas fanatic.. So in the middle of decorating he went to use the bathroom and for some reason he left the bathroom door open. All of the sudden I hear him screaming my name and that I needed to get in there right away. So I run in expecting him to have hurt himself, but instead find him to be standing in front of the toilet and the kitten to be sitting on the toilet... right in front of him. He tells me that he was peeing and then all of the sudden the kitten jumped in front of him.. which means he peed on the kitten.

So I grab the cat and then realize what exactly happened so I put the kitten in the sink, told FI to deal with it himself, and shut the door..

He came out a few minutes later with a soaking wet kitten (he tried to "wash" him in the sink) and the reddest face.

God I still lose it thinking about it.

  • What was in his ear? Did you see it?

    Was it pee?

  • Hahahaha that's hilarious. But it makes me feel better knowing your FI did not intentionally pee on your kitten.
  • Oddly enough, this is not the first time I have heard of this happening. A friend of mine's cat did the exact same thing- got in the bathroom and jumped right into the, erm, flow stream.
  • This is very peeinteresting...

Some cats are just not bright.

Oddly enough, we keep the toilet lid down at all times the toilet isn't in use. We considered getting a kitten at one point and got in the habit because we didn't want the kitten to fall in.

We ended up getting adult cats. One comes in the bathroom every morning and I've caught him in the bathtub before after I get out. WTF.

  • Poor kitteh.

My dog Beefy likes to pee on the girl dog's pee.  So he occasionally pees on his sisters.

My mom used to have a cat that hated her guinea pigs, so he would stand on top of the guinea pig cage and pee on them.  So sad...they smelled horrible.

I had a cat that loved to hang out in the bathroom while I took a bath. She fell in the tub multiple times while I was in it. One time she was shut in the bedroom while I was in the bath and when I opened the door she got soo excited to go in the bathroom she just jumped in the tub while it was still full. She was a crazy cat. I miss her.
  • My boy cat won't let you have a minute of peace in the loo. I'm like really, dude, I can't just GO?!  And they like to jump in the tub sometimes before or after a shower. My old cat, Jack (RIP), used to lick the water running down the wall while I showered. But yeah, Gizmo just stands there staring no matter what you're doing and I just shake my head.

Our new kitty drinks the water out of the shower. Blech. I'm trying to train her to drink out of the bathroom sink faucet like the other two, but so far, no dice. We also have a huge water bowl in the kitchen for the dog that she likes to drink out of.

I would have LOVED to heard how you would explain his possible ear ache to the vet.

Vet: So, has kitty gotten into anything recently?
Rosie: Well, erm, he kind of got peed on by my fiance this morning
    Vet: Excuse me?

FWIW, I would have been freaked out too. Oz started to randomly throw up Saturday morning and I was a little worried.
  • Well, I just laughed about this story and then told FI about it, and he didn't look all that surprised, and then he told me that apparently Abby often jumps on the toilet and comes very close to sticking her head in his pee.

    Cats are silly.

  • I think they're fascinated by the moving "water". One of my cats likes to chase water down the tap. I think it's the same thing.

    Ditto.
  • 1. Bush Party

    1. A party held in the bush.
    2. A party held in a wooded area.
    3. A party held in an urban area that has been overgrown with vegitation. e.g. an empty lot - areas near train tracks etc.
    4. A party held on the outskirts of a sub-urban area where empty farmer's fields have yet to be developed.

In highschool that's what we did on the weekends.  We had a big fire.  Booze.  Lots of good times.  The only good thing about growing up in a small town.

Oh, we had these in college but called them woodsers. And I am sure I at least peed on my shoes a little while at one. The bathroom facilities were always questionable which I guess was part of the charm.
  • I grew up in a small town but no bush parties for this girl :( sounds like fun though.

We did have barn parties though.. hmmm.
