E-Pic Location (Sports Theme)

Hi everyone!

This is my first post after reading the boards for a couple of days or so. I've noticed that this board can be pretty helpful so here goes...

I was recenetly looking up different photographers and ended up on Joseph Casal's  blog and saw a series of really cute "Sports Themed" photos towards the end of the post. I was wondering if anyone has ever tried to get access to any of the sports venues here in Miami (Sun Life Stadium, American Airlines Arena, etc) to try and take photos inside? Is that something that I would have to do myself or does the photographer make those arrangements?

My fiance is a huuuuuuuge sports fan and I'm guessing its the only way that I can convince him to take engagement photos...lol

We aren't going into any of the sports arena's or anything, but we are taking soccer e-pix today actually. FI is a HUGE soccer player and fan, so he's going to wear his Liverpool jersey and I'm (probably) wearing a "Team Bride" tshirt and we're just playing around on a soccer field.

It's something you would take care of yourself, not the photog.

That said, I don't know if you can get in any time to the stadiums. The only stadium pictures I've seen are for ones that are open to the public outside of game days, i.e. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

You could probably use a local high school if you wanted pictures on a football field. For a gymnasium if you want B-ball pictures, you probably need to find someone that knows a janitor to get entry.

We wanted to do the same thing but there were no games going on the day we had our photos taken...we ended up at a local high school...took pictures in the dug out on and under the bleachers and even snuck on a school bus...it fit us cause we met in high school so it worked...but i would say call the stadium and see what they can do.

We took sports themed ones...we did some outside Tradition Field in PSL then we just went to a little league field to get some on a pitchers mound (thats what my DH does for a living)
