Bridal Shower Guest List-who makes the cut??

My MOH is planning my bridal shower and she is asking me for a guest list.  I am from VA and my FI is from SC.  I know his mother is planning to have a bridal shower for me in SC.  My question is who do I invite to the shower in VA? I know that I invite his mom, but do I invite all of his aunts as well?  I'm trying not to hurt anyone's feelings.

    I guess the rule on the etiquette board is that you only invite folks who are invited to the wedding. That said, are his aunts in VA? I wouldn't expect to receive an invite to a shower out of state, even if I was an aunt.

    So I would send them an invite as a courtesy since that will be your family. But I would let them know you will have a local shower and you look forward to seeing them there. Some family members, especially these aunties (well maybe just mine) are quick to feel snubbed if they aren't invited even if they cannot go. So I would send them one for courtesy and expect them to say no but let them know you will have a local one too.

    I live in MA and my FI lives in MD. My sister is my MOH and she is the one planning the shower along with my BM (who lives in NYC). My shower is in MA, and I know that no one from his side of the family plans on throwing me anything, so I'm having her invite some of his family from MD, but none of our family members from NC,SC, or FL (basically below the MD state line...lol).
