No sex toys, but I have been buying craft supplies lately (the absolute last thing on the planet I need). And I bought some white calligraphy ink and have been going nuts with it, Christmas style.

Ummm.. Tomorrow I'm doing this thing called Fantasy Flight with United out of SFO. United does it every year.. They invite about 50 families with special needs children (mostly seriously/terminally ill) out to the airport, and we get them through security, to a gate all decorated and has games and food and fun things, then they board a special plane that's decorated, actually TAKE OFF, fly around the Bay for about an hour, and then land at another gate decorated like the North Pole where Santa is waiting for them. Seriously, it's one of the most rewarding things I've done. I've volunteered the last three years (I work for United's credit union) and its amazing the strength and positivity these kids have in the face of some horrific things. It really makes Christmas special for them. So, that's why my weekend will be awesome. :-)

I live in the city mentioned in the article. Yeah, there are like 3 people that beg for money here, and it's only that high because it's holiday time. She makes it sounds like there are so many of them. I can't believe she is one of the reason's my city is 'on the map'. Cripes.

Overcome- that's awesome! I volunteer with special needs kids for "Parent's Night Out" where once a month parents can get a breather or have a date night. The December one has a Santa and it's so much fun! I totally understand that good feeling.

Girlie- yes I wrote it with a calligraphy pen, but I've taken a few courses, but thank you!

I have to recover this weekend from the amazing GTG! I feel so spoiled, 3 GTGs in 2 weeks and all of them were fabulous!

I get to stand in line tomorrow to buy some CDs. The local radio station (KBCO) releases a CD every year of songs that artists have come in to record during the year. This is #23. We have all of them. Pretty cool stuff. This year's CD includes Ryan Adams, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Ray LaMontagne, Mumford & Sons, Colbie Callat, Keb Mo, Decemberists, Amos Lee, Sara Bareilles, Sheryl Crow and about 15 others.

Overcome- That is awesome.

Nothing to excited this weekend. We had crazy winds lately and the power went out in several cities. I think my entire neighbor is out of power except for me. We are going to one of our favorite bars tomorrow night and I am excited to dress up a bit. I also scored awesome deals at target right now.
