Embassy Suites or Hilton Downtown

My sister is trying to decide between Embassy Suites Downtown and also the Downtown Hilton across from the Quest center. She is planning on having both the ceremony and reception at the same place and is expecting approx 300 guests for her wedding next Oct.

Are there any reviews on either of these places for recent weddings and or receptions there? Especially on the food, availability of staff during planning,  and overall experice.

Any help would be much appreciated!! TIA!

    I didn't make it to the Hilton, but i was unimpressed by the Embassy suites downtown.  Since the wedding party is large, she'd have it in the balllroom, which is really ugly.  Also, the woman that helped us had HORRIBLE customer service.  I didn't see the Hilton, but if you're choosing between those 2, I'd go with Hilton.  Embassy suites-La Vista is much prettier and friendlier, btw.

    I'm having mine at the Embassy Suites in LaVista and everyone has been so friendly. We recently tried the food there and it is DELICIOUS, plus the hotel is gorgeous.
