Panic!! Any help?

Hi Ladies...

I am seriously panicking right now!  FI and I have been planning our wedding for the past 4 months.  We have just over 2 months left until the wedding.  We had been told by my priest (in Tampa) that we would be able to do an interfaith wedding in a Hotel (Jewish and Catholic).  Well, now the priest in Miami says that this is absolutely not allowed.  He says the ceremony has to be done in a "sacred place" meaning a church or synagogue.  Our invitations have already been printed and are in the process of being addressed.  AND what we want is to have our ceremony at the hotel where the reception is going to be held.  I just don't know what to do!!!  Any suggestions/help??

Find a new priest/officiant? Sounds like the person you spoke to in Tampa is liberal and the one in Miami is super conservative.

I'm using Rev Eddie Rodriguez, he does interfaith ceremonies

My Rabbi is Conservative and he is coming to our venue to perform a conservative ceremony! No priest that I know of will do an interfaith ceremony, maybe he understood your needs incorrectly....There is a knottie that was married by Cantor Debbie ( They had an interfaith Jewish and Catholic ceremony and the bride loves her!)
Where is your venue? South Florida?

    Thanks Ladies!

My venue is in Miami - Hilton Downtown Miami. Apparently, in Tampa, catholic weddings can be held in a hotel as long as you get permission.  I just had my heart set on having a priest and a rabbi.  I guess I have to get over it.

Thanks for the recommendations.  I will start making calls =)

I think in Miami they tend to be fairly strict about Catholic weddings being in a church.  Are you willing to have a pastor/reverend who's not Catholic?  I think that might be your only hope.  :-(
