HELP! Timeline for January Wedding

I'm getting married on January 12 and have most of my vendors booked, except for the florist and possibly a photobooth company. I'm meeting with florists when I come down to Miami on 8/27, but I am started to get paranoid that there are other things I need to be doing now.  Have some questions for you brides:

- When did you order your invites? I'm using Vistaprint but can't finalize my RSVP cards until I have my tasting on 8/28.
- When did you mail your invites?
- When did you order your favors?
- When did you order place cards?
- When did you get table signs/numbers made?
- When did you order wedding party gifts?

Thanks so much!

Re: HELP! Timeline for January Wedding

  • My 2 cents -

VIstaprint is really quick - you'll have your invites within 2 weeks. I would get the invites and table #'s by Oct. 1st

Favors usually take 4-6 weeks.  I would have these and wedding party gifts by Dec. 12

Mail your invites out by Oct. 12 with an RSVP date of Dec. 12.  If you are going to have the place cards done by a professional calligrapher, then you would have to give that person at least a week to have them done.  If you are going to print them up yourself, I would begin doing them once you have all the RSVP's.

You have plenty of time :-)

  • You should do as much as possible as soon as possible.  Invites two months before mailed out should be enough time especially if you sent out save the dates.  try not to leave anything for the last minute, especially during the holidays.
