Honeymoons!

WalkersFurMama - you have made me curious about everyone's honeymoons now!  Aruba looks gorgeous so I can understand how you feel in love with that spot!  Are you going to go?!

Where is everyone planning on going/doing?  I'd love to know ;)

We're are debating between Barcelona or Portugal.  We will be taking a 2 week honeymoon and if there is a way to do both, we just might do that.  I think we'll be looking at that this weekend :)

We definitely want to go to Aruba but we haven't decided on a resort yet. I think I talked FH into the one I posted last night, but we'll see.

We're planning to do ~2 weeks in Europe...France, Italy, and a couple of days in Croatia or somewhere beach-y :-) Barcelona and Portugal would be amazing too - too bad we can't take a full year off to honeymoon and just travel all over!

I'm looking into staying at a resort in Jamaica, Barbados and the Dominican Republic (specifically Punta Cana).  So far, I've found you get the most bang for your buck in the Dominican Republic, but we haven't booked or decided yet.  Plan on doing that in January.

Has anyone had any experience with either of these places?

Last  night FI was like I really dont want to do a cruise. So now we are looking at places here in the US, so we don't have to get a passport. Right now we are looking at Lake Tahoe, Napa Valley, LA or San Diego. I think that we are going to go with Lake Tahoe, but he wont give me a straight answer of what he wants to do. His response is always whatever will make you the happiest.

We're looking at El Dorado Royale in Rivieria Maya, but nothing's been booked. Both FI and I are really frugal, and we're paying for the HM, so shelling out that much cash feels like a huge commitment!

My parents own a house in Costa Rica, but it's like in jungle land and I was hoping for something that's an AI. So who knows.

We're still trying to decide our honeymoon budget and if we want to do it right away or save up and do a trip for our 1 yr anniversary (with a smaller mini-moon after the wedding.)

We'd really love to visit Puerto Rico.  You don't need a passport to visit and can use American dollars - and you can spend time at the beach, gamble at the casinos, drink lots of rum, hike thru the rainforest, explore caves, or kayak in a bioluminscent bay!
