Oh, I'm ticked right about now.

I posted on a FB thread (not E related in any way) and my comment is gone.  If she deleted my comment she's going to get an earful from me, especially since it wasn't inappropriate in any way. Someone else in the thread posted a question and I answered it.  No one but I should be able to delete any of my comments.  I have a feeling that she's going to say that she only wanted responses to the request directly but I'm sorry,  you don't get to decide what comments get to stay and which need to go.

Re: Oh, I'm ticked right about now.

  • Did you see it posted after you typed it?  This happened to me yesterday, and it was missing.  Then it appeared again like 5 minutes later.

  • I hate it when people do that.
  • Oh, yeah.  It was up about 45 minutes ago and now it's gone.

  • That's pretty ridiculous.

  • ditto KJB - it did that to me yesterday - however, if she deleted it, she's a biitch. No one can be a biitch to Baby Bee's ma!
  • Then, yeah, I'd be pissed too.

  • It's a WAHM's business (cloth diapers and such) and if she did indeed delete my comment, she won't get any business from me.

  • I reposted on the wall and just said "Where did my comment go?" so as not to accuse but I'm fully expecting a PM that says she deleted it because she only wanted responses of email addresses for a request she put up.

Okay but it's kinda TMI category if you want to stop reading now.

The topic: family cloth.   (answer for what it is forthcoming)  This is NOT something I think we would do in the Beehive because I doubt Mr. B would go for it but a lot of green families and cloth diaper families do this since they're washing cloth diapers anyway.  I "like" a lot of WAHM FB pages because we cloth diaper so I see all the wall comments even if they're for items I wouldn't necessarily use.  The wall comment requested email addresses if you're interested in being a tester.  I guess she made some and wants some feedback before she puts them for sale in her store.  Anyway, someone replied with her email address and then in the comment said, "What is family cloth?"  I replied "@ so and so, they're butt wipes for the whole family ;-)"  which is what they are.  Family cloth replaces toilet paper.  About 45 mintues later, my comment was gone.

  • Oh, and duh to the girl who sent her email address which means, "Sure! I'll test for you!" and then had to ask what the item was.

  • Why on earth would she delete that?  That doesn't make any sense.

I'm trying very hard not to think about family cloths, thankyouverymuch.
  • I warned you! =-)

I think because every other comment on there is strictly email addys and that's all she wants rather than a discussion.  I was simply answering someone's question.  If you don't like it, move on.  I didn't even KNOW we could delete other people's comments.  I don't even delete my own.  IMO, once it's out there, it's out there.  You can't take words back so why pretend something you wrote never happened?  I digress.

  • I want to cloth diaper any future kids, but I do NOT want to use family cloth. Not sure why they're different in my mind, but they most definitely are.

Both the WAHM and the girl who just offered up her e-mail address are dumb.
  • Yay, Emily!  CD is fun and frankly, rather addictive.  =-)
Yeah, big people poop and baby poop are two different beasts so that would be a big step for most people.

  • So is this a business FB page or a personal FB page? I could *possibly* see if it was a business she wouldn't want the words "butt wipes" on the wall, but if it's personal then she has a stick up her as$.
  • I'll be able to handle cleaning up my baby's poop when it gets on things. I don't think I could handle cleaning FI's poop.

    Same here.

MrsB, I found out that people could delete other people's comments when a friend of mine posted a blanket she was knitting on her FB and I jokingly asked "Are you pregnant?"  Turns out she WAS pregnant and wasn't ready to tell anyone yet.  So she deleted my post but wrote me a private message explaining why.
  • Business but there's nothing offensive about it.  Well, there shouldn't be especially when you're in the business of diapering children's BUTTS.

  • I agree. I just come from the perspective of working at an advertising agency and seeing how uptight some clients can be about their "brand." :)
  • Sure.  If that IS the reason, then she's still uptight. ;-)  She should have just PMd me and asked me to delete it.

I agree with you. I've known about family cloth for a few years and... nope, the idea doesn't appeal to me more now than it did back then. Gross.

This. I'm sure you're not the first person to use the word BUTT on her page.
