Hair Help

Hello, I contacted Stacy Pitt and she is booked at 10:45 for another bride on my wedding day in Jersey and I am in Queens. She said she could come earlier. I am not really sure what to do. Is 7:30 or 8:00 to early for a 2 PM ceremony. The reception doesn't end until 12:30. Does hair usually last this long? I don't want it to be wilted. Also, my bridesmaids told me they want to get their hair done. Is it impossible to get this all done that early? Would you go for someone you really loved for your hair and then have someone come do their hair? There's 6 of them. Please provide any other recommendations you have. Thanks!

I'm in the same boat.  If you plan to take some photos before the ceremony and do other things, then it won't be that early.  And there's always hair spray?!  :)I haven't gotten back to her yet; since I'm looking for a pretty simple down style, I am still searching for other stylists (via other recommendations, Cragislist, other boards).  I'd try looking up other stylists too.  Reality, if it's you and 6 others, it'll be fairly tough to get that all done by the time she'd have to leave for her next appointment.  If she can work it in (and you all get up at the crack of dawn), naturally, have your hair done last.GL in your search - check out weddingwire and projectwedding, among others, to find other stylists.

I personally would rather have someone that can do my hair closer to the ceremony start time. There are a lot of other great stylists out there.

I used Mandy from LaSorella Bridal, she is based in Jersey but she does travel. She is more expensive than Stacy I believe, so something to keep in mind. She did my hair as well as my six BMs. www.lasorellabridal.com

I did exactly this, except mine was worse - and it was one of the best decisions I made! My ceremony was at 3:00. Stacy had to do me, my mom, 6 bridesmaids and a flower girl. And she had to be done by 12:00 to go to another wedding. She came to my house at 5:30am!!! It was still dark out!! She got to work right away putting in my extensions and curling my hair, then did everyone else, then came back to me for styling. It was actually really fun, because everyone was at my house super early, we were all in our pj's and we had a lot of time to chill and get ready and didn't feel rushed at all. And my hair stayed super-put all day. Even after the wind and the 500-pound mantilla tugging on it, it looked just as good when everything was over at 1:00am as it did at noon! If you love Stacy, then go for it.

I'm in a similiar situation.  My ceremony is at 3:30pm and Stacy is coming at 8am in order to do myself, our moms and 7 bridesmaids.  We will be complete by 1pm in order to take some pictures before the ceremony.  I think you have to start pretty early to get everyone done without feeling rushed.

How far in advance does Stacy need to be booked? I have been reading a lot about her and seems great. My wedding is next August, is it too early to start looking into her?

Def. book early. My wedding is a year from now and she already has someone that she may book for my day. I am totally concerned about who to book. The earlier the better.
