Hi ladies!

Im from Ohio and am flying out to the Big Island for my honeymoon. Can anyone suggest some restaurants or "must see" activities. I wanted to hear it from someone who lives out there bc you guys know best.

    Most of us are DW brides here, but we're still more than happy to help out. Where are you planning on staying on the island?

    One of my favourite things I've done on the Big Island was the stargazing tour. I say this over on the HM board a lot, but it was seriously a lifetime highlight for my husband and I!

    Be sure to stop off (and stock up) at Big Island Candies in Hilo - and check out the farmer's market there on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

    We've done the snorkel cruise to Captain Cook's mounment twice with this company:

    And they're good. I also recommend getting on some kayaks with a kayak/snorkel tour. That's a great way to see the island!

    Definitely go to Kilauea. Appreicate the desolation for its own unique and bizarre beauty!

    I know it's a mainland chain - but avoid Bubba Gump's like the plague, unless you want a greasy mess on your plate. I had the worst dining experience there!

    Roy's, Sansei, Merriman's are all great places to chow down!

    Thank you SO much! We are staying out on the Big Island. Im hoping even tho we are only going to 10 days that we get to see atleast one of the other islands too.
