We booked 5 nights at the Riu Tequila and 5 nights at Grand Melia on the hotel strip in Cancun.
I'm second guessing the Riu Tequila and I was thinking of switching to Riu Palace Riviera Maya, but I'm not sure if I like the two beds pushed together. But I really like the hotel's property. It's looks gorgeous! I also like that it's all inclusive, so I really just can't make up my mind.
If we decide else where, we were thinking Grand Mayan Riviera Maya in Playa del Carmen? The rooms and property look nice but it's not all inclusive.
Anymore advice that might help?

Out of curiosity, what is making you second guess yourself about Riu Tequila?
[QUOTE]I have only been to Iberostar in Riviera Maya and had a great time for a friedn's wedding. Out of curiosity, what is making you second guess yourself about Riu Tequila?

I just don't like the rooms. The property is gorgeous, but I don't usually get to stay in a nice hotel very often. For the price, I think the linens should be updated and they push two beds together to make one. It looks a little weird, and are we to sleep on either sides on our honeymoon? I've slept on beds pushed together and you can still feel the crack down the middle.
We also saw the Grand Mayan Riviera Maya while we were there and again it does not compare!
Good luck!
