Can I see you pics? I'm struggling with how I'm going to do this. I would be fine with no veil, FI, seems to really like the idea of me wearing one. I'd like to wear my hair all down....possible a little "bump" in the back just to hold the veil in, but would like to avoid the half up thing....although, I think it's pretty....it's not me, at all. Thanks!

one idea, have your veil attached to a toupee clip, these are very secure and do a great job of staying in the hair, I'd use the toupee clip veil and just teas the crown a touch to help it stay.

I'm making my veil and looking for a way to secure it if I wear my hair down. I'm considering a headband... or doing the little bangs bump in the front... i haven't decided or done any trial yet, so no pics.

I agree with dizzinea--- just tease your hair a bit at the crown to give it some volume & something for the clip to hang onto. And use a good-quality clip!

I think your idea sounds fine. A little back combing at the crown of your head to help the veil stay in place is all you need. Then you could easily ditch the veil for the reception if you wanted to. I think if you search for "down" hairstyles on this site you will find some that are very similar to this.
