  • I'm here!

    ... but I've got nothing.  Sorry.  :(

    image
  • Well, I just popped some popcorn as the second course of my lunch so some entertainment would be great.

  • Just really really busy with work and stressing myself out over planning a ginormous wedding that's going to cost a bazillion dollars!

(I played with money last night and stressed myself out.  Now I just made a timeline of to-do's.  Lists make me happy.)
  • I've been thinking the same thing.  But I had nothing of value to start a thread about.

Are Shrute bucks the purplish beet colored ones?  Then, Shrute bucks.  Just gotta make sure they don't stain my hands.
  • If anyone feels like being grossed out, this is what BF is doing this month.
He left early yesterday morning to start on this house.  It was foreclosed and not winterized.  Pipes burst, and this is the result.
I don't get to see him mon-fri for atleast a month, and he sends me this to comfort me...geesh, thanks babe.

  • I'm busy at work playing catch-up now that I'm done covering the cashier's shifts. It feels awesome to be off the 13hr shifts but my body was getting used to it after 3 weeks and now I have to start all over, oh and tackle a enormous pile of paperwork in my office.

Whatcha doin' today?  I made a month-by-month goals list.  Only major thing for November: design invitations.  Did you decide on the DIY stuff?

I've seen that before and I just think, man that must be a tall costume!  If I'm 5'4 and that's my head, the costume goes up at least another foot from there.  I'd be 6'4 walking around in that thing!

I'm working on invitations, too.  I found a couple of designs I like on Etsy, so I may take the easy way out and order them.  But at the moment, I'm playing with a trial version of Photoshop to see if I still remember how to use it well enough to DIY.  I'm also contemplating centerpieces, escort cards and some kind of decoration for the ceremony arch.

I'm a little more than three months out and I feel really behind.  We've had such a long engagement that I don't think it occurred to me until recently that there's a wedding at the end of it.

I just got my background check yesterday (Yeah, I waited five weeks and paid 25 dollars for them to search my name and stamp the form I filled out; a whole 45 seconds worth of effort).

So now, I just need my filing fee ($350), some of the forms and passport-style pictures, then I pack everything in and take it down to a city an hour away so that they can send it in. Then ~six weeks later, I drive back to pick it up, they tell me I can book my medical exam (another $275, and two and a half hours away, yay!) and after that, my interview in Montreal, which is at least 6 hours away. So HOPEFULLY, I'll be in the States by the end of the year. But that's me being optimistic.

Wow!  I'd be stressed, too, if I had three months left. We have just under 7 months and I feel like there's so much to do (but can't do some of it yet, which is frustrating).

I bought my shoes the other day:  (and it's not letting me put the picture in).

I hope they come in the mail today.  I had have them shipped from a Macys in Connecticut.

    Oh, and a wedding.  :)

  • Fish, that is awful.  That's the way it was here, yesterday, except that we'd have spots of clear blue sky and sunshine, then a HUGE gust of wind, then suddenly the clatter of rain/sleet sounding like it's being FLUNG at your window . . .

The weather had better clear up by Saturday, dammit.  I paid an entrance fee for a run and I don't want to do it in bad weather.
  • You should do weather for us.

Yeah I am not looking forward to all this shiit freezing and the clusterfuck that is Fargoans-learning-to-drive-again and the subsequent news stories that follow.  Eff my damn life.
