Question... Do I have to buy the bridemaids and maid of honor's dresses and shoes??....

    No.
    I have been in several weddings and in every case, we each bought our own dreses and shoes.

    Other than that, everyone is different in their opinions.  Some brides pay for the hair and/or makeup, some don't; some buy them all a gift, some don't. 

    My opinion on the dresses/shoes is that once you agree to be in a wedding, it means you have signed on for all the expenses.  Otherwise, you should say no.  After that, I think it is up to each bride to do what they want.

    You don't have to pay for dresses or shoes - some brides do,  but I don't think that is necessary at all unless it is within your budget.

    If you require them to have their hair, nails, and/or makeup done however, then you need to pay.
