Okay, missed a day again. My days keep running together.

How do you feel about evening weddings featuring a full meal without alcohol?


I think that unless there is a really good reason to have no alcohol - like the bride or groom being recovering alcoholics or something - most guests are going to think  you're really cheap. Now I'm a huge believer in having tons of fun without alcohol, but at the same time most people do enjoy drinking socially - and weddings are about as social as you can get!

    I won't lie, one of the things I look forward to when going to weddings, is a night out drinking.  Hell, I'm looking forward to the open bar at my own wedding!  But I have had friends who, for one reason or another, did things like only had a champagne toast or only served alcohol during the meal and I didn't think any less of them.

    Agree with PP.  I look forward to open bars at weddings and having a fun night out.  I wouldn't even consider not having an open bar at my wedding.  Of course, that's just my personal choice.
