DJ Permit?? How do I obtain one?

My venue has told me last minute that I need a DJ Permit AND a Fire Permit if I want to have music and candles at our wedding.
We are getting married in 8 days.
Any advice??
The location is Ventura County, CA

    Did you sign a contract before they told you because that would line the boarder of illegal-- i think

    I would try your local board, b/c I live in Maine and havn't been to CA since i was 4

    I might try google for permits and or town hall
