Save the dates? Intives? and Brochures? oh my!

The Fiance wants magnet save the dates. I figured I would make my own invites.. and now that I come to think of it all i still have brochures that I have no idea about!
I guess I am overwhelmed... I just am so lost... My questions are
would it be easier to order a package (with the magnet save the dates and invites)?
would it be cheaper to just make everything myself?
is there anyplace that has good deals on magnets and invitations?
what could I do to make the magnets?
help...

  • Look in my bio under Paper.  Our STDs were magnets I made through Vistaprint, mounted on postcards from Vistaprint, and mailed in envelopes that came with the postcards.  Cheap and easy.

It's generally cheaper to DIY, but takes some time and effort.

  • If you don't want to order the magnets through vistaprint, you could buy minicards through moo.com and attach magnet tape to the back of them, there blog has links to templates and examples, but vistaprint is pretty cheap if you sign up to their updates and use the codes they send you.

  • Like the others said, Vistaprint is super easy and cheap, you just have to look for the right deal to come along.

I'm not convinced that DIY is necessarily that much cheaper. By the time you pay for supplies and put all the time and effort into designing and making them, it may end up cheaper/less stressful to just order from a place like Vistaprint.

However, I am always very impressed with other peoples' DIY stuff. I just don't have the patience or skill for it!
  • Vistaprint just put out an offer this AM for free magnets and other goodies!
    Good Luck!

  • I'm using www.freshimpressions.com for my magnet save the dates.  The more you buy the cheaper they are...so it just depends how many you are going to buy.

  • You can buy DIY magnet paper at papersource.com... i'm planning on that because it will just be more fun that having someone else make them
